Congratulations to Robin Eaton for being named the 2011 WOW! Pamela Lerch Memorial Cup recipient at the NSYA AGM on November 19, 2011!

“On behalf of the Aylesford Lake Yacht Club team, receiving the WOW! Women on Water award is a great honour! Whether we are hoisting sails in small dinghies or venturing out in blue water, the wide ranging benefits are incredible. How many other sports do we enjoy as much that do not discrimate by gender or age?” said Rob Eaton.”2011 was a great year for female sailors at Aylesford Lake! 4 out of 10 Learn to Sail participants were female, partly owning to our Skipper Chicks program! Some program goals were to empower and encourage girls to achieve advanced sailing levels and eventually return in future years to be coaches and leaders.”

“Many thanks to Frank Denis, NSYA Executive Director for all the support, encouragement, and guidance throughout this journey!”
